EXTRUSION
The Vi Pro Carbon frame has a double voided extrusion. It´s a classic style extrusion that offers enhanced stiffness due to the multi layer frame construction. The 3-D shaped frame constructions adds extra strength to the frame.
MATERIAL
Aluminium alloys are alloys in which aluminium (Al) is the predominant metal. The typical alloying elements are copper, magnesium, manganese, silicon and zinc. The 7005 aluminium we use for the Vi-Pro Carbon frame contains more zinc and has a higher tensile strength than 6000 series aluminium; important for the strength and rigidity of the frames. The frame is also T6 heat treated.
CHARACTERISTICS
The Vi Pro Carbon frame is more than just a frame. It´s more like a chassis of Formula 1 racing cars which needs to be set up for each specific racing circuit. Now for the first time in the history of speed skating you have the option to alter the stiffness-flex-ratio of your frame in order to match the performance of the frame fitting your personal skating techniques and your personal taste. But even more you are now able to adjust your frame set up for the specific track or road of your next race. Up to now you only could adapt to the circumstances the best you can – now with the Vi Pro Carbon frame the game has changed! You can actively influence your skating performance by simply adding the full carbon bars to your frame. The main purpose of these carbon bars is the Energy and Vibration Management aka "EVM." The short and long EVM carbon bars can increase the stiffness overall or in certain areas of your frame. If placed strategically the carbon bars help to manage the energy of your frame. This way you can manipulate the amount of grip you have with your frame, or the way you perform the double push. Carbon bars also help to absorb the vibration of your frames. You wont get tired as fast as without those bars.
The Vi Pro Carbon frame features the 195mm standard mounting. It comes with two different types of M7 single axles with torx head featuring first class lazer prints. Pay attention to the MANUAL in order to use the axles the correct way!
All frames of the Powerslide and Core Racing collection have some CNC cuts around the front and rear mounting block to fit our Pitch & Stride Control.
The combination of the across slot in the frame and the along slot in our boots is called the X-Slot Mounting. This system enables the skater to adjust the boot-frame setup without any dead spots according to his skating style and preferences.
